Retired LAPD homicide detective Robert Souza, a 20+year veteran of Los Angeles and investigator on some of Hollywood’s most notorious murder cases, has launched two hard-hitting true crime books: Malice in Wonderland and The Dirty Business of Murder with detective partner Tom Lange.

Souza made his name investigating some of Los Angeles’ darkest chapters, including the infamous quadruple Wonderland Murders and the hunt for The Freeway Killer.

His credibility, lived experience and years of deep case knowledge has brought him behind the curtain of Tinseltown as a technical consultant working alongside Director Ron Shelton on films like Dark Blue (starring Kurt Russel), co-writer and co-producer of the film Hollywood Homicide (starring Harrison Ford & Josh Hartnett), and over 140 episodes of the hit Bruckheimer CBS series Cold Case.

Souza has also served as a consulting producer and appeared on true crime television docuseries such as Michael Connelly’s The Wonderland Massacre & The Secret History of Hollywood. He’s been featured on podcasts such as Wondery’s The Wonderland Murders & The Boo Crew Podcast bringing real cases to audiences around the world.

His work as an LAPD homicide detective now author  resonates with readers, viewers and listeners alike, offering insights that are more gripping than fiction.
